Dr. Eric W. Cornelius holds a PhD (Plant Pathology) from University of Ghana which included a 2 year doctorial stay at the Natural Resources Institute, Chathan, UK. His research interest includes basic and applied research on the aetiology and management of diseases of fruit, vegetable and field crops; molecular characterization of plant pathogens and food safety. He has taught and supervised BSc, MPhil and PhD students since 2001. His extension activities includes disease management for fruit and vegetable exporters, home growers and private sector crop protection professionals; bioefficacy testing of fungicides, bactericides and nematicides; and development of media on plant disease (videos, fact sheets, web page content).
